Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By downloading, installing or using the islam+ application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not accept the terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of the Service

islam+ is a mobile application that offers prayer times, the qibla direction, reading and listening to the Holy Quran, dhikr, fasting tracking, ilmihal (basic Islamic knowledge), Asma al-Husna and worship records. It does not produce personal advice, interpretation or personalized recommendations. The App has both free features and features unlocked by a subscription.

3. Accounts

You can use the App without creating an account. Some features (linking your worship records to your account and syncing your learning progress) require an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account access credentials secure
• Be responsible for the activities carried out under your account
• Notify us immediately if you notice any unauthorized access

4. Subscriptions and Payments

islam+ offers auto-renewing subscriptions. When you subscribe:

• You agree to pay the fees for your subscription
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period
• A free trial may be offered on some plans; if you do not cancel before the trial period ends, the subscription starts as a paid subscription and the fee is charged to your App Store account at the end of the trial
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings
• We do not collect payments; all payments are processed by Apple
• Refund requests are subject to Apple App Store policies

5. Content and Sources

The Turkish translations in the App are taken from the publications of Diyanet Vakfı, Diyanet İşleri and Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır, and the English, Indonesian and Arabic translations from QuranEnc.com (details in Section 7). The ilmihal, prayer supplication and Asma al-Husna content has also been compiled from these sources or from explicitly cited sources.

islam+ does not give religious rulings (fatwas), interpretation or personal advice and does not use artificial intelligence models. The App does not generate advice for you, does not interpret your mood and does not suggest a personalized plan.

The content you see in the App is for informational purposes; it is not binding. If you have a religious question, consult a religious official or the mufti’s office.

6. Rules of Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Block or disrupt the App or its servers
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App into source code
• Remove copyright and proprietary notices
• Use the App in a way that harms our services

7. Intellectual Property

The App itself — its software, interface, design and brand — belongs to islam+ and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

The App also displays third-party content that does not belong to us: the Arabic text of the Holy Quran is the Tanzil Quran Text (tanzil.net, CC BY 3.0; compiled via alquran.cloud, built into the app). The Turkish translations (Diyanet Vakfı, Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır) are taken from alquran.cloud; the Diyanet Vakfı translation is built into the app, and the other two are loaded from the network when selected. The English, Indonesian and Arabic translations are taken unchanged from QuranEnc.com and built into the app: Saheeh International (Noor International, version 1.1.2), Kemenag (Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, version 1.0.1) and Tafsir al-Muyassar. Surah names are taken from quran.com. The recitation recordings (Abdurrahman as-Sudais, Saud ash-Shuraim, Maher al-Muaiqly, Mishary Rashid Alafasy, Abdul Basit Abdus Samad, Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary) are provided via cdn.islamic.network. Prayer times are based on the Diyanet calendar in Turkey, and Aladhan (aladhan.com) is used outside Turkey. Adhan notification sound: “The Adhan - Muslim Call to Prayer - Aaqib Azeez”, Atcovi, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 4.0. All rights in these materials belong to their owners; the App only displays them. Attributions are listed in the App under Settings → About.

8. Accuracy of Religious Content

The hadith, dua and dhikr entries in the App are shown together with the collection, book, hadith number and authenticity grade; verse translations are taken verbatim from published translations. Nevertheless, the App is not a religious authority. On matters that require a ruling, you should consult a religious official or the mufti’s office.

In Turkey, prayer times are taken from the official Diyanet calendar; outside Turkey, they are calculated from your location. Due to the calculation method, location accuracy and similar factors, 100% accuracy cannot be guaranteed; you are advised to verify them with the local authority when necessary.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS”; NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE GIVEN. WE DO NOT UNDERTAKE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to hold islam+ and its affiliated persons harmless from any claims, damages and expenses arising from your use of the App or your breach of these terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App for any reason, including a breach of these terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately.

13. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to change these terms at any time. We announce significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the App after a change means that you accept the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
